Nestling between the popular villages of Trearddur Bay and Rhoscolyn, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Garreglwyd is a lovely destination that offers a warm welcome, whatever the season or weather.
Originally a farmhouse and still surrounded by pasture, the house is now thoughtfully furnished in traditional style, to cater for the comfort and relaxation of wonderful seaside holidays.
The light airy lounge with huge picture window and open fireplace, is ideal for settling down with a good book or simply gazing out at the landscape with changing sea and sky. There is a wide selection of books, games and puzzles for all ages. There is a DVD player,the TV has HDMI port and internet connection is available.
The well equipped kitchen diner, provides a great hub for family and friends to gather. It too has marvellous sea views and patio doors that lead to terrace and picnic table.
The king bedded room has wonderful coastal views. The double room with additional single bed has sea views as well as looking north towards Holyhead Mountain. The twin room looks east over farm land to the Snowdonia mountain range. All upstairs bedrooms have wash basins. There are also two foldout beds that can be put where you choose.
The house has shower/ toilet, upstairs and the downstairs room, toilet, bath and shower.The utility provides good space for outdoor gear. Hand towels are provided for bathrooms and kitchen. Bath towels are also provided but guests are requested to bring their own beach towels
The house is surrounded by an enclosed lawn, creating a great play area. Dogs are welcome but there is a £25 surcharge. The BBQ is stored in the garage along with additional garden seating.
There is parking for several cars in the yard and the sloping path to the house makes suitable wheelchair access.
A few minutes stroll through grazed fields, leads to sheltered sandy bays, to swim at high tide or perhaps catch prawns in rock pools at low.
Night sky gazers delight at the lack of light pollution, many a wish is made on seeing a shooting star!
With its wonderful location, there are countless opportunities for wide ranging outdoor activities. There are spectacular views of bird life and rock formations from Elin's Tower near South Stack Lighthouse. Holyhead, Llangefni and Bangor provide shops, arts and leisure centres, cinemas and galleries, all within easy driving distance. The rich historical culture of Anglesey and north Wales offers so much to discover and Garreglwyd an ideal holiday home, to return to time and time again.
