Vine House is a self contained wing of 18C Manor. A fabulous, self contained holiday cottage for 6 guests with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, pool, grounds, private parking. Area abounds with chateaux, gardens, historical towns, vineyards, museums & numerous activities for children of all ages. We have been welcoming guests from 2003 and have furnished Vine House as a cosy' home from home'. The ground floor has original terracotta floor-tiles,beamed ceiling, monumental stone fireplace with Stovax wood burner. It divides naturally into a cosy sitting area and country style kitchen & dining area. Generous comfy sofas, selection of games, books & magazines, tv with English freeview stations, dvd, bluetooth speaker. A door leads onto private terrace which faces the pool (fully alarmed) & has dining & lounging furniture & BBQ. The fully equipped kitchen area includes dishwasher & there is plenty of crockery, glasses etc. The large dining table comfortably seats 6 with ample space for a high chair.
A large ground floor shower room has double shower, w.c. & wash basin. Shower gel & liquid soap and hairdrier are provided. A utility area has washing machine, clothes airer, iron & ironing board, hoover etc. Additional fridge/freezer.
The staircase leads up into the spacious pretty beamed attic with 3 double bedrooms & bath/shower room. Upstairs rooms have exposed beams , the landing & bedrooms have natural floor covering whilst the bathroom has a tiled floor. All are furnished in country style with built in wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing table& chair, bedside tables, reading lamps & top quality beds with Egyptian cotton bedlinen & both firm and soft pillows. Personal towels, generously sized bathrobes & pool towels.
Primrose Room offers twin beds or super-king. Rose Room also offers twin beds or a super-king, Peony Room has a king size bed. The spacious bathroom has wc, basin, bath & overhead shower. Cot, cot linens, highchair, potty, toddler step, stairgate, baby monitor available free of charge.
Chateau Montgeoffrey (15 mins), Plessis Bourre (20),Angers (25)-fab shopping, great restaurants,lovely gardens, lots of museums, Chateau with amazing Apocalypse tapestry, impressive Cathedral .Brissac (35) a super visit with enormous grounds suitable for picnics,Saumur - very pretty typical Loire town (50),Chinon - another lovely little town (60),Villandry is not to be missed, both for the chateau and the famous gardens and Chenonceau (60) motorway or 90 mins scenic.
