WINTER BREAKS – DEC/JAN/FEB 3 nights £240, wk £380, Feb HALF-TERM £510 ‘Annacombe’ is a spacious and imaginative coachhouse conversion perfect for a child friendly escape for family, for friends or a romantic bolthole for two. The cottage is set in the grounds of a large country house in the beautiful countryside of the South Hams near south Devon’s historic and buzzily-alternative town of Totnes on the river Dart. Between the sailing centres of Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Salcombe and the rugged wilderness of Dartmoor, it is an ideal base for exploring this unspoiled region with its excellent beaches, landscape and charming towns and villages. Inviting pubs and restaurants will tempt you out, and the attractions nearby - sporting, cultural and fun - provide lots to do for children and adults alike. Walking, riding, golf, fishing, sailing, windsurfing and canoeing are all available nearby.

The fully centrally-heated, 3 bedroom house is dominated by the impressive, 23’ double-height living and dining room with its pine balustrade gallery, open roof beams, natural stone fireplace, books, pottery and rugs and TV, DVD, HiFi and fibre WiFi (up to 38Mbps) for entertainment.

The stylish fitted kitchen/breakfast room is well equipped with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, induction hob and double-oven plus a breakfast table for up to 6. The utility room houses the washing machine, tumble dryer and boiler.

On the far side of the living room is a ground floor double bedroom with a king-size (5’) bed. The en-suite bathroom has a bath, with thermostatically controlled shower above, WC and washbasin.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms at either end of the gallery. One has twin beds and a cot and the other a double (4’ 6”) bed. Beside the double is the second bathroom with the same features as downstairs.

The principal rooms face south on to the cobbled stable courtyard. Two archways in its stone wall lead to an enclosed, garden bordered by shrubs and climbers. There is ample parking for 2+ cars.

Provision for toddlers and babies includes a cot, stairgates, highchair, booster seat and the garden.

The reasonable use of electricity, hot water, WiFi and telephone for outgoing local and all incoming calls is included. Chargecards can be used to make other outgoing calls. Many visitors bring their own bed linen (2 king-size & 2 single duvets) and bath towels but we can arrange their hire if required. The only other additional charges are for central heating, based on oil usage at cost, and logs.
