Comfortable 17C cottage in historic Nether Stowey. Small dogs welcome. WiFi

Ground Floor: A cosy beamed sitting room with inglenook fireplace and woodburner; digital TV/DVD with freeview, a radio/cd/cassette player and lots of local information and maps. The door from the sitting room to the back lobby has a low lintel. The separate dining room has a table with seating for 4-6 and a window overlooking the garden. There is also a comfortable single chair-bed in this room. The kitchen/breakfast room has a table for 2, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, electric cooker and iron.
Upstairs: Cottage stairs lead up from the sitting room to double and twin bedrooms with wardrobes and chests of drawers, and a bathroom with electric shower. The stairs are quite steep but with a well supported handrail.

The small garden is sunny and secluded, having a patio with table and chairs, lawned area and shrubs, and enclosed by a fence making it safe for children and pets.

Parking is available in Castle Street and there is also a small (free) car park further up the road

Within the village there is a post office with tearoom, also serving breakfasts, lunches and cream teas, general stores, a butcher, two pubs - 1 serving meals, and a bookshop.

With the Quantocks being within 1 mile, the cottage is ideal for exploring this beautiful area with its moorland, woods, wildlife and wonderful views.
The poet Coleridge lived in the village and his cottage (NT) is open to the public, and the village is the start of the newly designated Coleridge Way.
The sea and varied coastline is within 4 miles. Blue Anchor beach, sandy and with views of Exmoor, is a little further away.

Attractions within easy reach are mediaeval Dunster Village and Castle, the ancient port of Watchet, Exmoor, Minehead, West Somerset Steam Railway, Tropiquaria for children at Williton, Hestercombe Gardens, Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge and Caves, and much more.
