Owners Recommendations
La Roche Bernard and Rochefort en Terre - so much to see, full of character and history.
The Grande Briere - a wonderful day out for everyone.
Nearby beaches and coastal walks.
Resistance Museum at St. Marcel, War graves cemetary near La Baule a Car Museum at Loheac all well worth a visit
'Carnac Stones'
"The Carnac Stones, possibly dating back to 5000 BC, make up the most important pre-historic site in Europe - older than Stonehenge. Over 2000 standing stones stretch for 4km to the north of Carnac village where the Museum of Prehistory sheds light on their significance."

'For the Children'
Apart from the beach there are many other activities for children (and adults) to see and do - small animal parks, aquarium, museums, standing stones etc to visit, canoeing, sailing, horse riding and biking etc.

'Local Markets'
If you like fresh produce then a visit to one the many towns which have a weekly one day market is a must - every town also has something else to offer (interesting architecture/beach/restaurants) and so makes a good day out for the whole family.

'Vannes'
Considered to be Southern Brittany’s major tourist town, prosperous and picturesque, the turreted ramparts enclose a maze of narrow streets and half-timbered houses. Visit the Musee Archeologique and take a boat trip to the beautiful islands in the Gulf of Morbihan. "
Nantes
There is something for everyone here, full of history, fascinating architecture, public gardens, mechanical elephant, restaurants, shops. Situated on the Loire, much to see and do
Good tram transport

'Where To Go?'
There are many choices when it comes to eating out in this area - if you want a substantial meal at a very reasonable choice then you only have to note where the local van drivers eat, a 2 to 4 course lunch costs between 8-12 Euros and usually includes wine. A list of restaurants which we can personally recommend is available also suggestions for where to go to explore this beautiful area
