Superb stone house sleeping up to 8 in the heart of the Lot Gorges

Les Cayrouses is a superb and very spacious family house that faces South and East with panoramic views across the dramatic Lot Gorges. It sleeps 8 in 4 large bedrooms but PARTIES OF UP TO 4 PEOPLE CAN RENT THE HOUSE AT A REDUCED RATE. Further reductions are available for TWO PEOPLE ONLY. Please contact the owner for details.
Overlooking the Gorges is a terrace with covered pergola, garden table and chairs and built-in barbecue allowing you to sit ouside long into the evening. The garden is made up of flower beds, rockeries, trees giving shade and a grassed area for children to play. The swimming pool directly behind the pergola has a walled flower border as a backdrop.
The large sitting room has a picture window overlooking the Gorges. It is furnished with two large comfortable sofas. There is an extensive library of books for all ages, board games and satellite TV with UK channels and DVD player. The spacious farmhouse kitchen /dining room is extremely well equipped and comfortably seats 8. It has access to a double gallery bedroom with en-suite shower room and a second kitchen and living area making it ideal for 'Granny & Grandad' or indeed for one of 2 couples sharing the cost of the holiday.
For more energetic holiday-makers, the activities on offer in the area include canoeing, kayaking, tennis, horse riding, fishing and golf. The area is perfect for walking and 'off road' cycling with an abundance of footpaths and trails that contour the steeply wooded valleys.
The nearest small town is Entraygues sur Truyere (10 minutes by car) which has many small shops, restaurants, street cafés, a bank, post office, pharmacy and well organised canoe centre. The weekly market is on Friday morning and during July and August there is an additional market on Wednesday evenings. Espalion, which is larger than Entraygues, is a 30-minute drive. It is a charming old town with a thriving Friday market, a large range of shops and an extensive selection of restaurants. Before reaching Espalion, Super-U is the nearest large supermarket selling a wide range of food, wine and local produce.

Rodez, the departmental centre, is one hour by car and Ryanair fly in from Stansted and Dublin.
